Janet lives in the small coastal village of Bodega Bay where she
paints and teaches painting. Her work represents the best of contemporary
Northern California fine arts.
Vibrant landscapes in luminous color bring to life the unique
shapes of Sonoma County's coastal prairie, ranchlands and historic
farms. This versatile painter works primarily in her studio using
multiple media including watercolor, acrylic, oil and pastel.
While the local landscape is one of her favored subjects, each
season she also produces a new collection of still life and floral
paintings. Janet's recent series of large abstract landscapes
represents yet another indication of this painter's versatility
and mastery of skill.
Currently Janet's work can be seen at the Graton
Gallery in Graton, CA and at various other Sonoma County
locations. She participates each year in the Sebastopol
Center for the Arts "Art at
the Source Open Studio Tour" held the first two weekends
in June. Janet is a featured artist of the Rancho
Bodega Historical Society and her paintings have been chosen
for the 2001 and 2005 Bodega
Bay Fisherman's Festival posters. |
