Let’s Paint! Weekend Workshop #1
Get started painting in this 2-day, hands-on workshop.
We’ll use a variety of techniques for developing your brush
stroke, mixing color both on and off the palette and learning
the difference between value and color. You will quickly see
that there are no mistakes when you paint and that acrylic paints
are wonderfully forgiving and versatile. No experience is necessary
yet experienced painters will learn much. All materials are included in class fee.
Saturday and Sunday, January 19-20, 9:30am – 4pm

Let’s Paint! Weekend Workshop #2
This 2-day session introduces multiple techniques for applying acrylic paint to canvas (look, no brushes!) and classic
techniques for starting a painting. You’ll begin multiple paintings
using different approaches including charcoal sketching, under-painting, colored grounds and painting alla prima.
Lessons in knife painting will be included. Materials can be provided by the instructor for a fee,
or students may bring their own as specified on the materials list.
Saturday and Sunday, February 16-17, 9:30am - 4pm

Let’s Paint! Weekend Workshop #3
This workshop is for anyone, regardless of painting experience, who enjoys playing with color and texture.
We’ll use both fluid and heavy body acrylic paints on canvas, watercolor paper, and board. This class will
gently nudge you toward your full creativity by stressing
non-representational painting and mixed media. We’ll discuss the basic rules of composition and design
to get started. Materials can be provided by the instructor for a fee,
or students may bring their own as specified on the materials list.
Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9, 9:30am - 4pm
Saturday and Sunday, July 21 & 22, 9am – 4pm

Let’s Paint! Wednesday Series
This 3-class mid-week series is designed to get you painting right away while you
learn the basics of acrylic painting. We’ll cover everything from material selection to
composition and color. You will enjoy the process of creating a painting while experimenting with new
techniques, media, materials and concepts through the use of carefully designed exercises.
You will quickly see that there are no mistakes when you paint…and that acrylic paints are wonderfully forgiving and versatile.
